Native American Contemporary Prints

NATIVE AMERICAN CONTEMPORARY PRINTS
FEATURED IN WEST VALLEY ART MUSEUM EXHIBIT
September 23 through November 21

Currently on view in the West Valley Art Museum Gallery, on the first floor of Peoria City Hall, is a special exhibit of more than 40 prints by notable contemporary Native American artists. These fascinating art works include lithographs, paintings, drawings, mixed media, etchings and other techniques by artists such as Harrison Begay, Robert Redbird Sr., Amado Pena and Norma Andraud to name only a few represented.

You will delight in not only the fine quality of the works but in many instances, the matting and framing used to present each artwork.
The exhibit features artists with heritage in more than a dozen Native American tribes across our vast land. Also shown are prints by Paul Kuo from Japan and Olaf Wieghorst of Denmark who became immersed in the cultures and traditions throughout their careers to also work in presenting Native American themes.

The exhibit continues on view through November 21. The West Valley Art Museum Gallery is open free to the public Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays from 10am to 4pm and on Thursdays from noon to 6 pm. Located inside Peoria City Hall at 8401 West Monroe Street in Old Town Peoria, we encourage you to stop by soon to enjoy this remarkable series of outstanding Native American art.
