GLOBAL ART TREASURES FEATURED
IN WEST VALLEY ART MUSEUM EXHIBIT THROUGH September 19
RECEPTION ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 4 TO 6 PM OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Currently on view in the West Valley Art Museum Gallery, on the first floor of Peoria City Hall, is a special summer exhibit highlighting “Art Treasures of the West Valley”. This eclectic variety of art from all over the world is on loan from the homes of West Valley civic leaders and private collectors for a limited time.

Be intrigued by art from the Philippines, China, India, the islands of Indonesia as well as nearby Mexico. There are items from the 17th century, French Impressionists of later eras, and contemporary American masters. Also included are a John Free western sculpture, dazzling Chihuly glass and several regional and West Valley fine artists’ paintings and three-dimensional works. Enjoy an early photograph of Camelback Mountain as well as an unusual photo of one of Peoria’s iconic architectural treasures.

Stop by and relax in the cool WVAM Art Gallery as you wander through a global collection of unusual, rare and fascinating two- and three- dimensional art treasures. This exhibit will be on view only until September 19.

The WVAM Art Gallery in Peoria City Hall, 8401 W Monroe Street, is open on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays from 10 am to 4 pm and Thursdays from noon to 6 pm. Free to the public. For group tours or additional information 623-972-0635.
