A TRIO OF TOP ARTISTIC TALENT SHOWCASED AT WEST VALLEY ART MUSEUM THROUGH MAY 19

OPEN HOUSE RECEPTION WITH ARTISTS ON THURSDAY, MAY 12, 3 PM TO 5 PM

Currently on view at the WVAM Art Gallery in Peoria City Hall are outstanding oil paintings, creatively
rendered ceramics, and sophisticated superb wood carvings by three of Arizona’s top quality
professional artists. This exhibit will only be on view through May 19.

The extensive group of plein air oil paintings by Ed Buonvecchio of Sedona are representative of a
painter’s journey from ME to AZ (Maine to Arizona) as his artistic work and influences have
progressed from our State, to many years on the Maine Coast and back to the Grand Canyon State.

The ceramics of George Palovich, with some featuring influence of his life partner and late wife, Janet
Trisler, blend humor with a finesse of detail. His creations are in collections of many Valley cities as
well as private collections locally and nation-wide. A former curator at WVAM, Palovich also teaches
drawing, works in several mediums and his works garner awards in juried shows.

The sophisticated wood creations of Matt Werner are unique in their theme interpretation and
carefully carved renderings using an extensive variety of unusual woods in each piece. In this exhibit
are featured several exquisite interpretations of musical and dance figures.

On Thursday, May 12, from 3 to 5 pm there will be an Open House Reception free to the public, with
an opportunity to chat with these three very talented artists. Light refreshments will be provided.

The WVAM Art Gallery, located on the first floor of Peoria City Hall at 8401 West Monroe Street in
Old Town Peoria, is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays from 10 a to 4 pm and Thursdays from
noon to 6 pm For additional information or questions contact West Valley Art Museum at
